Corporate travel is hard. The tools are notoriously frustrating to use and often involve analog travel agencies integrating with SaaS systems which were originally on-premise systems and clunky. The experience for companies is that few employees follow the travel policy. The experience for the employee is that they deal with a litany of hurdles making travel a painful reality. On top of that, rigid and unintelligent travel policies waste time and create a culture of micro-management, ultimately causing travelers (employees) to abandon corporate sponsored tools forcing them to fend for themselves.

Ariel Cohen and Ilan Twig (Co-Founders @ TripActions) spent over a decade dealing with these broken systems and were determined to redesign corporate travel from the grounded airplane up. They envisioned a completely personalized, easy-to-use experience that treated each employee like a VIP customer; using modern software, machine learning, 24/7 traveler support, and smart incentives they could overhaul an industry… and for the first time, allow businesses to track their travel spend like never before while keeping the focus on employee happiness.
