Company Overview
Founded in November 2015 to address the needs of the hyper-connected enterprise, in which everything from simple IoT devices to complex multimillion- dollar systems are connected, Ordr is led by a senior management team with decades of experience in networking and security at companies such as Cisco, Aruba Networks, Tenable, Palo Alto Networks, Forescout, and Ruckus Wireless.
The Ordr Systems Control Engine is the only purpose-built solution to fully map the device flow genome at massive scale, using machine learning to completely and continuously inspect, classify and baseline the behavior of every device. Ordr’s software architecture is unique in its ability to process enormous quantities of data in real-time, using sophisticated AI to deliver closed loop security, automatically generating policies for each class of device and implementing those policies directly through the organization’s existing multi-vendor network and security infrastructure.
Ordr is headquartered in Santa Clara and backed by Wing, TenEleven Ventures and Unusual Ventures.
Market Opportunity
In the hyper-connected enterprise, literally everything is connected, from door locks and cameras, to heart-rate monitors and complex systems. The most logical way to secure critical data assets in this environment would be to apply specific controls to regulate each class of device or system connected to the network. Traditional agent-based and human-generated security policy models simply cannot scale to address the massive volume and heterogeneity of devices, coupled with the rapid velocity of change.
Ordr solves this problem, providing visibility and exhaustive control over every class of network-connected device and system, augmenting the capabilities of their network and security infrastructure. The Ordr Systems Control Engine collects data from multiple sources and analyzes and organizes that diverse data in real-time. Ordr has built a vast and context-rich device profile library and the Ordr SCE software architecture is unique in its ability to apply sophisticated AI to dynamically define detailed policies that effectively regulate millions of connected devices while implementing new policies directly through the existing network and security infrastructure. With Ordr, Enterprises now have the intelligence about detailed device usage, usage type, hours of operation, and underutilization while benefiting from significant cost savings in the process.
